Halloween!

Cá por casa o Halloween já se faz sentir e desta vez apareceu o desafio de fazer uma abóbora para a escola do pequeno! Lá fomos nós passear pela quinta para escolher a abóbora perfeita... e em vez de uma acabámos com três! Sim, leram bem, três!!! 

Começámos com a mais pequena. Ele ajudou a remover o interior com a ajuda de uma colher.

This time I'm enjoying Halloween with my little ones and we had to make a pumpkin for school! So we went for a walk in the farm to choose the perfect pumpkin... and instead of one we end up with three! Yes, that's it, three!!! 

We started with the small one. He helped to remove the inside with a spoon.

Acabou por escolher uma abóbora assustadora. Lá desenhei com o lápis o nosso esboço de acordo com as indicações dele. E a parte difícil... toca a esculpir tudo com uma faca afiadinha!

Asked him if we were making a nice pumpkin or a scary one. Decisions... Decisions!

He said he would rather a scary one. I draw with a pencil our sketch according to his instructions. The hard part was to carve it all with a sharp knife! 

E aqui está ela iluminada com a vela no interior, assustadora ou não? Pronta para levar para a escola!

And here she is with the candle on the inside, spooky or what? Ready to take to school!

It's release day! I'm so happy to share with you the Denali Fleece Jacket by GYCT.

So, what's so special about it?
» Goes from size 12-24 months to size 12.
» It's unisex, great for boys and with a special gathered version that makes it so girly! 

» 3 different jacket styles: gathered front, color blocked or solid.
» 2 different hood styles: 2 piece hood or 3 piece hood option.

There are lots of possibilities to choose from! I've made a size 3 for my girl, that in this pattern is between sizes. Made the jacket with gathered front, 3 piece hood lined with knit, snaps for the front closure and pockets that are always great so they can keep their treasures. 

The pattern has a printing guide, this way it's possible to print only the pattern pieces for the version you choose to make instead of printing everything. The pattern pieces are very easy to match, because they have diamonds with letters and numbers. Also each size has a different color and trace so you can print either in color or black and white.

The instructions are very clear and also have photos to guide you if you're a more visual person. It's a quick sew and the result is very sweet, warm and comfortable, just perfect for the autumn that promises to arrive around here.
